When i drive the car the check engine light comes on. And requires maintence to the vehicle. Just wanted to know if my car is under recalls at all. Thanks sometimes my transmissions slips.

I received a recall notice on my 1999 honda civic for the ignition switch in september 2002. I took the car to get a new switch installed. After that i did not see a positive change or faster start up of the car . In fact, it seemed to start slower and slower. I was driving 40-42 mph and the steering wheel moved to the left. I tried to correct it and my car spun out of control hitting a telephone pole, a sign and 2 curbs. Afterwards my right rear axel and noticed it looked as if it had buckled as such.
