My 2015 honda civic has paint peeling off in sheets. The possible safety issue isn't my car but other cars around me when driving. If a sheet of paint peels off and lands on a driver's windshield causing them not to be able to see that's a huge safety issue. Honda refuses to own up to the paint defect and isn't willing to thoroughly correct the problem.
