Capless gas tank always backflows and spills gas onto the car if i wait for the gas pump to auto shut off. This never happened with any of the older cars i have owned. To avoid this from happening now i manually stop the gas pump before the tank is full.

When refueling through the capless fuel system in california gas spills out when the pump automatically shuts off. I've refueled five times so far and each time it happens, no matter what orientation i have the pump or how far it's pushed in.
