Lug nuts are self loosening. I do understand that lug nuts should be checked periodically. However, with 12,000 miles i have had two tighten nuts on three occasions. With only 18,461 miles on my tires, and still 6/32 as of very recent honda service visit my rear drivers tire blew out while driving on the freeway going 72mph. I very loud pop, no tire indicator displayed and the tire had discenegrated. Very scary! This should not have happened, even according to my last tire inspection.
